The new television advertisements of Milk SA will be launched on Monday, 18 February. This will be the first of four burst for 2013. Attached find the schedule from 18 February 2013 – 10 March 2013. Please diarise accordingly, as this promise to be very exciting stuff!!

Final Edible Ices regulations published - for introduction on 8 February 2014

The final Edible Ices regulations were published in the Government Gazette on 8 February 2013. These regulations will come into operation within 12 months from the date of publication, i.e. on 8 February 2014.

Melk Suid-Afrika

Op 30 Januarie 2013 het 'n werkswinkel oor klimaatsverandering plaasgevind, wat deur Rooivleis Navorsing en Ontwikkeling gereël is. Dit is bygewoon deur persone uit verskillende lewendehawe bedrywe, akademici en senior navorsers van Suid-Afrika. Onderwerpe wat gedek is, het gewissel van klimaatsverandering-vooruitskouings vir Sub-Sahara Afrika tot die vebetering in produksiepraktyke om die koolstofspoor te verminder. Mnr Nico Fouché van Melk Suid-Afrika het die werkswinkel bygewoon.

Milk South Africa

The Dairy Standard Agency plays a huge role to facilitate the supplying of dairy products to South African consumers that are safe and of acceptable quality. They also play a huge role in Milk South Africa's structures, to review and improve legislation and standards in liaison with Government, and to promote a more effective export regime for the South African dairy industry.

The two members of Milk South Africa are the Milk Producers' Organization (MPO) and the SA Milk Processors' Organization (SAMPRO).

Research & Development is a high priority in Milk South Africa. R&D information relating to the primary and secondary industry sectors is addressed through well-organized structures of Milk SA and the industry has the opportunity to improve its short to medium term competitiveness internationally. Dr Heinz Meissner and Mr Nico Fouche do not let grass grow under their feet, and had their first meeting early in January.
