A new joint International Dairy Federation (IDF)/International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Standard (ISO 19344|IDF 232) has just been released to provide a method for the quantification of lactic acid bacteria by flow cytometry in fermented products, starter cultures, and probiotics used in dairy products.

This 7th International Symposium aims at providing a renewed vision of knowledge on husbandry and milk production, technology, chemistry, physics, microbiology and nutrition. It will also highlight the significance of markets and appropriate policies as they have evolved since 2011.

Determination of hen ’s egg white lysozyme in milk and cheese - Interlaboratory collaborative study

The method is suitable for measuring low levels of hen's egg white lysozyme with a quantification limit of 10 mg/kg. The repeatability is 8.4% (95% CI: 6.7–9.3%) and the reproducibility 34.7% (95% CI: 20.8–59.0%).
